I'm Eben Johansen — currently in my 21st season of playing in intersections

Raised in the small fishing village of Walvis Bay, Namibia, I'm currently based in another small fishing village called Abu Dhabi, UAE,... with significantly better infrastructure, but significantly less fish!

I started my career in audit and financial reporting, working across property, investment, manufacturing, media, and professional services. This grounding shaped how I approach businesses today — with a strong bias toward structure, controls, and sustainability before scale. (I also learned that spreadsheets are not a business model,... some things need more than Excel and Duct Tape.)

During my stints in South Africa, Germany, France, and the UAE, I've learned that good operations translate across borders; bad ones don't.

Today, I operate a venture-building platform. We incubate and operate multiple brands and products during their early stages, providing shared structure across finance, compliance, technology, and operations before selectively spinning them out into independent entities as they mature.

I'm particularly interested in ventures that sit between people, systems, and regulation — where execution quality matters more than ideas, and where technology is used to remove friction rather than create it.
